MSW 2025 Evening 10 Mile TT Points Championship

This year’s MSW Evening 10 Mile Time Trial Points Championship begins on Friday 2nd May and runs each Friday until the end of August.

As in previous years, we will run these as part of Oswestry Paragon CC’s Friday evening 10 mile time trials at Queens Head. There are three trophies awarded in this series:
– Tony James Shield for rider with the greatest number of points over the series
– Hare and Hounds trophy for the fastest ride of the season
– Border Shield for the best improvement over the season for a first time rider

The event on Friday 20th June will not count towards the MSW points series as the Oswestry Paragon Hilly 19 Mile TT will take place evening instead.

All riders aged 12 or over are welcome so if you would like to have a go at riding against the watch then come along. Sign on is from 6.15 pm in the car park opposite the Queens Head Hotel (post code SY11 4EB, google map), the first rider starts at 7.01 pm. Entry fee is £5, cash only. Please ensure that you have working front and rear lights and an approved cycle helmet.

The course runs along the B5009 from Queen’s Head to Gobowen roundabout and back. The Strava segment is at https://www.strava.com/segments/1245782

If for any reason the normal course is not available e.g. due to road works or local events, the alternative 8.5 mile Rednal course will be used – sign on will still be at Queen’s Head.

Please note: riders MUST NOT use their tri-bars in Whittington, between the junction with Top Street and the pedestrian crossing . This applies when both heading to and returning from Gobowen.

Once again we are grateful to Oswestry Paragon CC for kindly allowing us to run our championship as part of their event series. Rider times are posted at http://www.oswestryparagon.uk/
