MSW Summer Cyclo-Cross
Friday Night Cyclo-Cross racing is here again!
Our hugely popular Friday evening race series are at Shrewsbury Sports Village for 5 consecutive weeks in August, using the Cycle Track, grass banks and the football pitch.
Cheap, fun entry-level racing to get you ready for the upcoming season. Chip timing allows you to analyse your performance, lap to lap and week to week.
Racing under ONE BIKE RULES – no pits! Flat bar MTBs are allowed.
Dates are: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th of August.
Categories are as for the 2024 – 2025 Cyclo Cross Season:
- Races for all under 12s Youth C-D-E with a birth year of 2013 or later
- Races for Youth A-B with a birth year of 2009 – 2012
- Races for Juniors Seniors and Veterans born 2008 or earlier
Year of Birth category changes for the 2025 – 2026 Cyclo Cross season come into effect on 1st September.
Under 12: 6.30pm (20 minutes)
Youth: 6.50pm (30 minutes)
Junior Senior Veteran: 7.30pm (50 minutes)

Tuesday evening CX-specific training: practice on the course – Youth riders at 6:30pm, Adults 7-8pm from 29th July. Sign on at the trackside hub, £3/£4 per rider for seniors, £2 for under 18s.
