Youth

The MSW has a thriving youth section who are actively encouraged to choose their own outcomes and riding preferences. This is important to get the maximum enjoyment from the wide range of cycling activities available.

Does your child want to:

  • Ride for fun?
  • Ride for fitness?
  • Ride with others on group rides or with friends?
  • Ride competitively in road, mountain bike, track or cyclo cross races?
  • Does your child want to race to a high level or take part for friendly competition?

Whatever they enjoy, bike skills and bike riding are an important part.  Riding and Skills will help your child get better, ride faster and it becomes easier as fitness improves.

Youth Coaching in MSW is split into two groups the Go-Ride and the Youth Development Academy.

Go-Ride

Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills.
