Dear Club Secretary/Contact

Please forgive the direct manner of this communication, but I would like to invite your club members to join us at this new event.

The inaugural Autodrome Duathlon is taking place on Sunday 26th September 2010 at Bedford Autodrome over the following distances of 5k Run 40k Bike and 5k Run. The Bedford Autodrome was designed by Jonathan Palmer for motor racing is used for corporate track racing days and is ideal for those that wish compete on a flat circuit.

With high speed racing cars using it, we have designed a course that is
· Super flat, super fast
· Super smooth surface.
· First time used for a cycle/run event before

For these reasons we've been lucky to gain access to it for this new event and could be one reason why the Bedford Autodrome has been selected as an official training site for the London 2012 Olympics. The venue is hoping to attract road cycling teams training for 2012 and already have over 13 national teams expressing an interest in using the venue as part of their Olympic preparations.

I have attached the entry form and would really appreciate it if you could distribute to your club members and also within your clubhouse. I am sure your members will have a great time competing in this new event. We have reduced the entry fee for members of the British Triathlon to £20. All competitors must use this entry form to receive the reduced entry fee of £20 if they apply online then the full fee applies.

We have teamed up with the CLIC Sargent charity for those that want to raise or donate money to a worthy cause. CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading children's cancer charity to offer all round care and support by providing specialist nurses and specialist social care. They are there to help as many children and young people as possible survive cancer and make the most of their lives.

If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
