AFTER ALL OF THE TRAINING AND RACING THIS SEASON IS THAT IT, DON'T I GET ANYTHING?

Well maybe you do!

If you have competed in club 10's, or any open Time Trials this season, there is a chance that you may have won something, perhaps a trophy, shield or medal.

During the season there is the opportunity to win several trophies, all of which are listed in the club rules, however if you can't lay your hands on them here is a brief run down on what's available.

Club Standard Medals: - Bronze, Silver and Silver Gilt (gold) in any distance from 10 mile races to 12 hour endurance events, dependant upon time achieved in any club, association or open events. (See Table below for Standards required)

NOTE: Only ONE medal at each standard is awarded to successful members (that is, you cannot claim for a medal you have been awarded in previous years). Any member qualifying at more than one standard for the same distance in the same season shall be awarded the medal for the highest standard only.

BAR Trophy: - The fastest average speeds over 25 miles, 50 miles, 100 miles and 12 hours.

Middle Distance BAR Trophy: - The fastest average speed over 25, 50 and 100 miles

Handicap BAR: - The fastest aggregate handicap over two 25's, one 50 and one 100 mile events handicapped against club records at each distance at the beginning of each season.

Ray Page Memorial Shield (Veterans BAR): - The best veteran plus at the Middle Distance BAR events.

Castle Trophy: - For the Junior Time Trial Championship comprising the fastest average speed over two 10 and one 25 mile event.

In addition there are several more trophies including victory, handicap covering a range of events from club open and interclub events to the evening club 10 series and hill climb.

So if you think you have won anything at download the claim form (PDF format) , fill it in and send it to Terry Egglestone, 12 Marton Drive, SY1 3DE , Shrewsbury by 11 th December to stake your claim.

Trophies and medals will be awarded at the club dinner and prize presentation in early February.

Club Standard Awards

Bronze, silver, and silver gilt medals shall be awarded to members beating the set standards at (Men and Women: 10, 25, 30, 50, 100 miles and 12 & 24 hours, Tandem: 10. 25. 30, 50, 100 miles) in events organised in accordance with CTT regulations and substantiated by result sheet or signed confirmation by CTT approved timekeeper. The standard times and distances to be reviewed by the committee before the commencement of each racing season.

Only one medal at each standard to be awarded to successful members. Any member qualifying at more than one standard for the same distance in the same season shall be awarded the medal for the highest standard only.
